Both software packages use the same sophisticated technical basis: A professional
database, a powerful and flexible message broker and pure Web-technology for
company wide use.
The airport operational database (AODB) is used to store all necessary master data like
airlines, aircraft registrations, customer data, published tariffs, service catalogues etc.
in one instance. This avoids redundancies and makes sure identical data is available for
everyone.
Directly attached to the database is a highly versatile message broker.
This tool offers a great variety of standard interfaces in aviation like,
for example, an IATA message parser, connections to airline systems and
financial accounting software. Furthermore, the message broker features a
wide array of standard protocols and formats (e.g. TCP/IP, XML, CSV etc.)
allowing an easy integration of other proprietary systems. Thus, all necessary
data can be imported or exported and a true IT integration is achieved.
The actual software is also installed on a single server and can be accessed
with a standard browser from anywhere via Intra- or Internet. An elaborate user
management regulates not only the basic access, but allows the assignment of
detailed individual rights for using specific software modules and editing data.
