With AIRPORTSTAR–RESOURCE, a powerful complete solution for the management of immobile resources is available.
This includes both terminal
resources like gates as well as airfield resources like parking stands.
Terminal Resource and Gate Management
AIRPORTSTAR–RESOURCE is used to allocate gates in real-time in a time-critical environment under multiple
operational constraints. The module is linked to the flight information system to receive up-to-date
flight schedule information and actual flight times. Base data (gates, airport layout, etc.),
gate rules, restrictions, preferences, and an initial gate plan are brought together in one single
system to support the allocator. A highly developed optimiser creates an initial allocation plan.
The validity of the actual gate allocation is permanently controlled; irregularities in the operation
initiate alert messages and generate changes in the plan where necessary. Bottlenecks in operation peaks
are highlighted early enough to allow for appropriate action. A comprehensive log of transactions and
flight schedule updates is stored for reports, documentation and analysis purposes.
Aircraft Stand Management
The AIRPORTSTAR–RESOURCE package can also be applied both to planning for analysing the requirements and
allocating stands in a long-, mid- and short-term time frame, and to real-time operative software
for stand allocation and management on the day. The application package determines an optimum stand
assignment plan, including the automatic generation of tows where required.
All planning results can be stored allowing easy and fast what-if analysis.
Planning-by-analogy facilitates the re-use of proven plots. On the day, the
validity of the stand allocation is permanently controlled. Flight schedule changes and
irregularities in the operation trigger alert messages and generate changes to the plan considering a
minimum disruption credo. Bottlenecks in operational peaks are highlighted early enough to allow for
appropriate action. A comprehensive log of transactions and flight schedule updates is stored for
reports, documentation and analysis purposes.
In addition, AIRPORTSTAR–RESOURCE integrates the planning and allocation of stationary resources
such as stands, passenger gates and baggage belts, as well as mobile resources (staff and equipment),
into one single environment considering the constraints of all resource types.
