GHS-SERVICE
With the software module GHS-SERVICE all services provided for ground handling and
related processes can be recorded.
Recording of Services for Aircraft Ground Handling
The service recording with GHS-SERVICE is based on so-called “events” - i.e. specific flights or other, manually created
data records - which are allocated all services provided in connection with them. Flight events and their complete data
are automatically imported from a flight scheduling system (e.g. GHS-FLIGHTOPS) and constantly updated. Data records for
other events which are not directly related to flights can be created manually whenever necessary. Highly versatile
filter functions allow to always concentrate the event display on the currently important events.
IT Solution for Easy Operational Service Recording
The actual service recording for each event is subdivided into three categories. With the connection to the contract
management module, contractual services provided by default for an event can be imported automatically by GHS-CONTRACT.
In addition to these standard services, a second category is used to record optional contractual services, which are only
rendered upon request, but also at special conditions. The third category is used to record additionally provided
services from the general service catalogue at standard conditions. Naturally, all functions are available for both
flight handling events as well as any other procedures (e.g. crew transportations, lounge visits etc.).
Mobile Handling Service Capturing on the Apron
Naturally, GHS also offers a solution for the service recording directly on the apron. The optional add-on GHS-QSR
(Quick Service Registration) is a software which can be used on any mobile computer with an Internet browser
(e.g. MS Internet Explorer). The software features an ergonomic interface specially designed for service planning
and recording in rough working environment. In order to persist long and reliably on the apron, the hardware also
has to meet extremely high requirements. Together with GHS- QSR, topsystem offers thoroughly tested mobile computing
devices ideally suited for outdoor operation.
IT Solution for System and Handling Process Integration
All master data important for the recording of services is edited and stored in a central database (AODB).
This includes a service catalogue containing both IATA-compliant services from the AHM (Airport Handling Manual)
and self-defined and customer-specific services, comprehensive customer data and much more.
The connection to the AODB also provides operative data. For example, all flights for which services are provided can be
automatically imported from the flight plan management. After the service recording has been completed, the recorded data
can be directly forwarded to an accounting system (e.g. GHS-BILLING), where the invoicing is performed.
