Youth development support in grassroots sports

Supporting local sports clubs has a long tradition at topsystem’s. In order to make a contribution to youth development support, which is becoming more and more difficult especially in regard to financial concerns, topsystem provides a number of sports clubs with necessary equipment like jerseys or track suits.

In the last years, the volleyball woman team of the local “Turnerbund TB Breinig” and the soccer club "FC Teutonia Weiden” were among the clubs which were equipped with sports dresses. In 2010, some youth section soccer teams of the “SV Breinig” received football jerseys.

We would like to take this article as an opportunity to congratulate all named clubs on their excellent work and give a big thanks for the exemplary youth development efforts!

topsystem supports the children’s home ”Maria im Tann“

As an institution run by the German youth welfare, “Maria im Tann” features comprehensive offers for young people with a difficult social backgrounds or various disabilities. In this context, a variety of mentoring options are made available for children, teenagers, young adults and even families. These include residential supervision in living communities as well as school mentoring and outpatient support measures.

topsystem has already changed over from sending personal Christmas gifts to business partners to supporting the children’s home with a donations some years ago. We are convinced that with this gesture we also act in the sense of our business partners.

 

Support in education and for the start of professional life

Internships are of constantly growing importance in the German economic system. They help young people to get a professional orientation by allowing them to get a first-hand impression of the actual everyday work. This is the only way to find out if the vision of a potential dream job stands the test of reality. In regard to this, internships are fortunately becoming integral parts in many degree programs as well.

For topsystem, it is important to contribute to the training of young people about to enter professional life. Especially with regard to the much-discussed issue of an upcoming lack of professional specialists in Germany, we as a medium-sized company feel obliged to put a special focus here. Thus, in 2010 we have again provided the opportunity for a number of trainees to get a first-hand impression of the practical work processes in the IT business. In this respect we put a special emphasis on allowing our trainees to get an insight into all departments in order to get the best possible picture of the complex chain of processes involved in the business.

Summing up it can be said that topsystem’s internship program has turned out to be a big success. The majority of our trainees proved to be well educated, reliable and hard-working. As a consequence, quite a few have become permanent employees here at topsystem’s.
