Logistics Award Winner 2011 counts on topsystem

The German Logistics Association (BVL) just recently honored Geberit AG with the renowned German Logistics Award 2011 for the company’s new comprehensive logistic concept. With this, the European market leader in the sanitary technology sector has become a very future-oriented company, as far as securing a competitive position at home and abroad by logistical processes is concerned. That’s also good news for topsystem as the provider of the high-performance Pick by Voice solutions that Geberit relies on in their logistical headquarters in Pfullendorf.

Geberit’s award-winning concept comprises a total of ten elements and actively operates in all processes of the supply chain from product development right down to the customer. Instead of being an appendage to the individual production locations Geberit logistics are now centralized in an high-performance distribution headquarters in Pfullendorf. There, in the order and supply flow coordination sector the company relies on voice-based staff guidance, using the high-performance Voice-Suite topSPEECH-Lydia^® for SAP by topsystem. The extra advantage for Geberit is that their own IT specialists developed the voice solution themselves and were therefore able to exploit the complete optimization potential available.

Adjusting the voice application to new processes can also in the future be easily effected and simply realized by a modification to the SAP application. For Geberit topSPEECH-Lydia^® meets their requirements when it comes to the sustainability and investment security of a voice solution.

Geberit uses the voice solution of the logistics experts from Wuerselen at 14 multi-purpose work stations, which obviously increases their efficiency. The order for the latest release has already been placed.
