Voice Guided Systems in Intralogistics: Trends and Future Perspectives

What does the warehouse of the future look like - and does intralogistics as we know it today have any future at all? How can people be integrated into a highly automated working environment? Which manual picking system really delivers what it promises? At the 4th topsystem Technology Day on 17 January 2019 in the House of Logistics and Mobility (HOLM) in Frankfurt, top-class logistics experts will discuss relevant industry developments and trends. Outstanding examples of best practice will also be presented. Participation in the event is free of charge. Registrations are now possible at https://www.topsystem.de/de/technologie-tag.html.

The logistics sector is undergoing radical change. New technologies, progressive automation and the consistent digitalisation and networking of the supply chain are making rapid inroads. The current changes will continue to require flexible and efficient solutions in the future to ensure efficient material and goods flows as well as high productivity. The topsystem Technology Day 2019 will therefore focus on trends and future prospects in intralogistics. Keynote speaker Dr. Michael Schröder, Professor for Management & Logistics at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in Mannheim, will present his vision of a logistics center in 2025 to visitors. A panel of experts will discuss how changing requirements will affect tomorrow's warehouses. Daniel Mezger from the Institute for Materials Handling and Logistics (IFT) at the University of Stuttgart will also present the institute's learning warehouse, which aims to evaluate different manual picking systems. Since 2016, students and companies have been able to use the Lydia® Voice Suite to learn about the advantages of voice-guided order picking. Best practice studies by Fressnapf Holding SE, Lekkerland AG & Co. KG and DPD UK Ltd. illustrate how Lydia® Voice improves process quality and increases productivity while reducing errors at the same time. Of course, visitors to the topsystem Technology Day will again have the opportunity to find out about suitable hardware solutions for voice warehousing at the Solution Marketplace.

Interested parties can register free of charge at https://www.topsystem.de/de/technologie-tag.html.
